The Steelhead Adventure of a Lifetime Awaits.

With KSP.

Each fall, a small handful of avid steelhead anglers are lucky enough to put their passion for these fish and conservation into practice while furthering scientific understanding of O. mykiss —by catch and release fly fishing to gather scale samples and other data.

The rivers where research is conducted boast the highest steelhead population densities on Earth, which translates into impressive catch rates.  Kamchatka steelhead are definitely not the fish of 1,000 casts!

The edge of the sub-Arctic wilderness – and what it takes to get there – may not be for everyone. But if you’re obsessed with wild steelhead, these rivers represent a steelhead Mecca, in one of the purest, least impacted habitats left on Earth.
